Last night I was robbed while standing outside the conference venue in Barcelona. The guy took my rugsack, which is essentially my mobile office. There was a laptop, journal, passport, credit cards, some cash....

Thankfully, I´m not travelling alone, so I´m not really stranded ion Barcelona. Alcatel Lucent, my sponsor on the trip, has been very helpful and efficient in helping me organise another passport so I can come back home. The Spanish Embassy has also been exceptionally helpful.

Here´s the thing - I was not the only victim of this crime last night. There were about 10 of us at the police station, and as the new victims streamed in, you´d recognise them by the glassy look of shock in the eye.

Victims were from different countries and race groups,  represting a wide spectrum of ICT companies, all attending the Mobile World Congress.¨

Within two hours, you´d have thought it was your ordinary support group. Hi, my name is Mobile Life, and tonight I was robbed.¨
