Blog from the game with Konica Minolta #4 - Final result...Posted by Townboy in Untagged |
What an amazing game, it shows that Bangladesh are starting to get up to speed in the limited form of the game. After giving New Zealand a run for their money it's refreshing to see that they are competitive.
Starting fantastically with a total of 25 after three overs they lashed the Proteas into an early bowling change and Kleinveld obliged with the wicket of the Zumed, caught behind on the first ball of his spell. Ashrafal the superstar...21 from next to nothing...
Along comes Botha...Bangladesh scoring at 10.7 runs an over looking like they are in the power seats.
Third ball of his spell Botha turns it square, believe it not -at the Wanderers and he bowls Ashrafal, "lock-stock-and-smoking-barrel".
The game turns on it's head and the "Bangy's" are 56 for 2 with 9 overs to go and a modest required rate of 7.7
The game is poised to go either way.
If the Proteas carry on with their ill disciplined bowling and shoddy fielding they will certainly throw this game
With 22 balls left Bangladesh need only 30 to win and they only have five wickets down...
The mood is tense and it is Bangladesh's game to lose..

Shew, what an incredible fight back from the Protea's...picking up 3 wickets in the last three overs. Dale Steyn's precision, clean bowling two of his opponents and swiflty taking the game out the Bangladeshy's hands.
109 for 8 is what it ended up on...
A victory in the last over for the Protea's...nail-biting...
This won't be the last "Blog from the game" this summer...
