UK doctors have discovered a way to give human beings HD vision. Using light-sensitive silicon implants, ophthalmic surgeons can now manipulate vision to be even clearer than 20/20. The procedure is similar to that of cataract surgery and can also cure short and far-sightedness according Bobby Qureshi, the first surgeon to perform this procedure.
In an increasingly high definition age, this procedure may become sought after even by those without eye defects. Research conducted by Vision Express opticians says that “Even a marginally short-sighted person sitting on a sofa watching an HD broadcast may not see the full benefits in enhanced image quality.” However, the cost of the procedure may serve as a deterrent at over 3000 pounds.
