-A dvd burner in your computer
-A blank dvd
-And this program (free) http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_…
Download the DVDshrink tool and install.
Dump your region 1 dvd to your hard drive using DVDshrink.
Burn the files to your blank disk, but choose the setting "region 2 or region free"
You just coppied the region 1 disk but in the process you have changed the region.
I suggest you keep your dvd drive set to region 2 or what ever you use the most or you will have bigger problems. Just copy and convert your disks this way if you get other region disks.

Have you tried DVD Genie before. Just interested to know how the two compares. Because I know that Genie takes forever on some regions.

Lol you know what's funny is that i dont even use this method...i use anydvd for region breaker and for breaking the restrictions on copying dvds.I used to use dvd43 but that doesnt break region codes;only breaks the restrictions. Then for copying i use Handbrake, its free and compatible with vista.I love handbrake because it lets me copy to almost all the popular formats (avi,mp4...).I'll do a blog on that soon because I rent out dvds for R20 and copy it,instead of downloading it.(its illegal but our service providers suck at good internet prices)
