It's been getting warmer in the 'Bay at last, getting out of the 20's towards the more normal 30's and higher. Summer's coming, or at least the hot season. Good thing about getting hotter? Hot girls in skimpy outfits, especially miniskirts . Yes I know, very sexist but I'm a guy and we're entitled to look arn't we?
I mean, If women are going to try to dress in as little as possible, in outfits designed to show as much skin and curves as possible who are we guys to look a gift horse in the mouth (no offense to the ladies, not comparing them to horses)
Well, that last () statement's not quite true. Have you seen what is wearing miniskirts, bikinis and g-strings? Don't get me wrong, if you got it flaunt it but if you've got a body like the Mishilen man after he picked up a few tons should you really be wearing almost nothing?
And for the ladies with the bodies perfect for those miniskirts just a note. They're designed to show off your legs, bum etc so why exactly after you put on a miniskirt that wants to be a belt do you spend every 5 seconds you're in it trying to stretch it down to your ankles?

I think miniskirts can sometimes make a girl look a bit cheap.
G-Strings is just plain sies! Where does that string go?
I love bikini's on the beach or around the swimming pool.
I don't know if girls wear this in SA but if you look on the internet under "Bonds Underwear" that looks sexy on a girl. Anyway that is just me.

I think a woman should be entitled to wear whatever she likes, and feels good in, regardless of her shape. Its funny how men are so critical of women - you yourself have said if a woman looks like the michelin man she shouldn't wear skimpy outfits. How often do you see a guy with a perfect body? Hardly ever. Most of you are either too skinny, with sloping shoulders and pigeon chests, or you have boeps, or heaven forbid - fat arses. There are men all over who 'shouldn't' be wearing those shorts, or jeans or that tshirt, yet men do not undergo the same scrutiny or criticism that women do. Its such bulls**t.

I don't have a problem with calling men fashion screw-ups either. I myself know I'm no Calvin Klein underwear model, which is why I avoid shorts and speedos amongst other outfits. But men usually cover more of themselves in public than women so overdressed is better than underdressed in my opinion. Underdressing and them trying to stretch that clothes to overdress by hand when the material just wasn't made to stretch...?
Yes, guys make fools and spectacles about themselves and can be treated the same way as women but since I don't look at men the way I look at women I don't comment on them. Women are made objects of scrutiny yes, but that should make them more aware that some things just don't work.

My point is, why be so critical? If she is comfortable, and feels good in what she's wearing, is it going to impact your life in anyway? Live and let live. Why is it such human nature to always point out the flaws in others, and rather criticise instead of thinking of something nice to say.

I wouldn't go up to someone and tell them they look ridiculous and I don't make rude comments in public or even to other people where the person in question would hear or be embarressed. This blog was an in-general comment and not aimed at "ugly" or "fat" people specifically, just in fashion choices. Even a supermodel can pick a terrible outfit.
Although I've felt like going up to some people and telling them in diffirent variations "that just doesn't suit you".
But then I walk past them and hear/see the reaction other people have to them, who don't care if a hurtful comment gets loudly made for everyone to hear and see the reaction of said person in questionable choice of attire. It's like they get slapped in the face. getting stared at and having "nice" comments made is acceptable to them but as beauty is in the eye of the beholder what one person thinks is hot another thinks is not.
Also, "you" got into that outfit, where are your friends who should help/warn you? Oh, sorry, they read the same "fashion" magazine that shows anorexic girls in microskirts and "one size/look fits all" right?

Grr you to are really up in arms :roll Parents tend to try dress their little girls in 'sexy' outfits from as young and age as possible. Instead of teaching their children pride in themselves parents are teaching their children to sell their bodies. It is sad but both men and women do it.
As for girls wearing g-strings I personally think it is ubhygenic. As for Mini-skirts girls pull them down to show more waist not to hide their legs :grin

Nope, the one I see just try to cover more. Even when wearing tops that show off the midrif/waist/belly etc they also pull THOSE down to try and cover up. And the plumetting neckline gets pulled UP to cover the cleavage the outfit was designed to show off. So, one piece of material gets stretched in two directions to no effect.
I really don't get the point but I don't mind looking if "they" keep showing. And the comments one gets for staring are just as shocking as the comments about them looking bad... Seeing a sexy lady trying to stretch 5cm wide strips of material into a 2-man tent and getting the comment "what the $@$@%@ are you staring at as@$@?" in an almost-scream kinda creates a knee-jerk reaction to telling them the actual answer...

My brother always says he likes to imagine what is underneath sort of like unwrapping a chocolate. If I wear anything that exposes anything I hear my father in my head telling me I look like a prostitute (he never used the word slut or whore).men are lucky in the sense that if they keep their bellies down they are attractive in most of what they wear. Every now and then you get the guy that thinks it sexy to wear a speedo... :p

Speedos are nasty. I like the Windhoek Lite (I think) ad with Louis Gosset jr where he confronts the lightweight non-bodybuilder type guy in the shop when he's contemplating buying a red speedo "Are you a lifeguard?" amongst other comments. And another ad where the lady buys an outfit and bounces around trying to fit into it until she manages. for 5 seconds before it goes Riiiip. Think that one was for insurance for women?

Abort here...I DO, unfortunately for me the wrong one. Not racist but I'm white and the students are not, or at least 97% of them are black, 2.9% indian and the other 0.1% white. there's around 10 white students on campus at any one time, and 8 of them are male

You are still missing my point. I think its safe to a*sume that if she's put that outfit on, she obviously likes what she's wearing and feels good in it.
I'm also not following what you're trying to say here:
Also, "you" got into that outfit, where are your friends who should help/warn you? Oh, sorry, they read the same "fashion" magazine that shows anorexic girls in microskirts and "one size/look fits all" right?
Are you saying that women dress by fashion magazines, and a*sume they'd look the same as one of those anorexic models? Really, women aren't that stupid.

Feels good in an outfit that she can't help noticing other people are laughing at? Maybe the first one or two such outfits but after that never again...(if she has brains)
Women have dreams like all humans, of looking like superstars, models and actresses and yes, they DO pick their fashions from what they see in magazines. They may not get THAT dress but when they go shopping they pick the closest to what's currently "in". And the models they saw with the dress are paid to look a certain way that is NOT normal compared to the rest of humankind in most cases. There's a wide range of shapes and sizes from anorexic to mischelen man and fashions that may fit one shape/size looks worse than bad on another shape. Picking the right fashion for one's body is important to avoid emotional scarring. I'm talking more about young girls of under 18 or so, especially younger girls buy clothes by committee in many cases. (women seem to need to do lots of things in groups, including going to the bathroom?) yes, mommy is to blame too for allowing them to dress like a wannabee pornstar but that's another issue
One often sees 3 or 4 girls floating around dress in almost the same outfits, 4 different shapes and sizes, of which only 2 might look OK. But they don't help each other pick something "right"
On the other side, wearing those skimpy outfits have gotten a few ladies in bad trouble as shown in media and crime stats all over the world. I'm not condoning such actions but when someone blatently throws something at you like "Look, I'm sexy! Do you want to touch?" which is what some fashions come over as and they get into trouble because some twisted guy's hormones and voices in his head pushes him into bad actions... Some rape cases have been overturned due to a skimpy dress sense
